Post from Guy Crittenden on FB

This is a grave message to all my fellow Canadians, and our friends around the world. Last night, Facebook took down and deleted the organizing pages of several of Canada's most prominent resistance groups — The Line and also Mothers Against Distancing (MAD) and a related Christmas Parade page MAD had organized. Yes, apparently Christmas is canceled and anyone hoping to organize a parade for children is an enemy of the state.
Let me please provide some perspective on what just happened, even for those who don't agree with the messages and actions of those groups, which are part of and central to a network of such resistance groups across Canada.
We are a very long way down the road to fascism now, my friends. According to Naomi Wolf's system, we're at about stage nine out of 10 for full fascism. We're undergoing a digital book burning at the moment with the deletion of hundreds of channels on YouTube and hundreds and hundreds of pages and accounts and groups on Facebook and other social media. I received a flurry of emails and messages over the past week from people shocked and outraged that Facebook groups and YouTube deleted channels in which people invested years of their lives, with thousands of members, tens of thousands even. As I follow the opposition movement closely, I can attest that the pattern is the deletion of anything that goes against official narratives. You do know this has happened before, right? Last night was the equivalent of Kristallnacht in Canada — the famous night when Hitler's brownshirts smashed the windows of Jewish stores and engaged in public book burnings.
The scattered ragtag groups of ordinary citizens (who are extraordinary people in my opinion) have withstood public shaming and ridicule, assaults and smears from our media, and on and on. Why? Because they question the wisdom of forcing children to wear masks all day? When that can cause brain damage? Because they object to tens of thousands of businesses being bankrupted? Over a virus we now know is LESS lethal than the seasonal flu? We know now from the CDC itself that the vast majority of recorded COVID deaths were not from the virus? We know from Boris Johnston himself that the PCR tests are only seven per cent reliable?
This is a globalist takeover of the world economy via the central banks, using an induced biological crisis to install medical tyranny, and then an AI control grid, which you might have witnessed has now largely been installed during the lockdown while you were encouraged to stay at home and watch Netflix and order goods from Amazon, while the globalists lit a fire under the middle class that is now largely destroyed. Citizens in places like the Province of Ontario where I live will be among the last to resist as most people here actually work directly or indirectly for the government, as teachers, doctors, firemen, bureaucrats, nurses, bus drivers, etc. They'll hear the sheik on Alpha Centauri when these unionized workers learn their gold-plated pensions are worthless, as they soon will be when the oligarchs short the market again and crash it for good. For now they're joining the chorus of the corporatized CBC propaganda machine, criticizing the dissidents and even smearing a professor who doesn't agree with the government as a Russian agent. Can you spell McCarthyism? We're back to redbaiting now it seems, along with race baiting and every other kind of baiting.
If you're wearing the mask, please note that it's now an occult symbol of your submission, whether you realize it or not. A spell has been cast on you, and you're wearing the equivalent of a swastika arm band, and people without it are being identified and the government is encouraging that such people be ostracized and even attacked. I know some of you don't see it yet, and may never see it. Most will never admit they were fooled, especially after being sanctimonious for eight months and unfriending anyone who spoke up. If you ever wondered what you'd do if "the Nazis" ever returned, well, now you know. Most have revealed themselves to be joiners, go alongs, people who don't speak up.
I don't know which form of behaviour to despise the most: the people who've fallen for the psyops, who at least are sincere, or the people who see through it but do nothing, because they're afraid of being ostracized. I know because I lead a group and some people I've invited have written me privately to say they're too afraid to go public. They can't "risk their jobs" by being possibly seen in a news report about the public demonstrations and rallies. Well, that attitude helped Hitler and Stalin and Mussolini and Franco greatly, I can tell you. Most Germans went along with what they got swept up in not because they were passionate Nazis but because they were living through a state terror campaign, and after a decade of that were led into a fatal and genocidal war. I'm a student of such history and see all the elements lining up. And you know what's weird? It's the SAME forces behind it as 100 years ago: the technocrats and eugenicists who sought to create a Utopia based on creating a master race. Look at Elon Musk and his dreams of going to Mars and attaching our brains to computers. Look at the Transhumaist agenda of people like the WEF's Klaus Schwab, an unreformed product himself of Nazi Germany.
Last night we not only fell down another step on democracy's stairway, but fell down a whole flight of stairs. And almost no one in Canada noticed or will ever know, because the corporate media won't tell them, and they won't find their way to this post. The Stalinist purges are underway, folks. And things are only getting started. Ontario has announced ID2020 and last weekend the Global Reset of financial markets got underway in a vast and dangerous experiment to shift to a new system that may or may not prolong the casino economy of international credit a little longer. The bankers are picking up pennies in front of a steamroller at the moment, and when they get flattened, we'll move from a fiat monetary system to a digital currency and the full AI control grid. At that point, when the trap shuts and our lives truly become like an episode of Black Mirror, the significance of last night's events will register with you.

จังหวัดที่ยังคงจ่ายชุมชนคาสิโนของ Durham
Great Blue Heron Casino
Great Blue Heron Casino

Netflix series 'Dirty Money' should do a few episodes related to the money laundering/real estate/fentanyl crisis in Vancouver

Great series on Netflix that discusses corporate corruption; but was a little disappointed to see the series discuss The Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers when there was already enough information at the time regarding money laundering, underground banking from China, real estate, and the fentanyl crisis all taking place within the Vancouver area. Seems like something that a long form documentary could sink their teeth into. Here's a few starting points:

March 05, 2018 - MPX Signs Definitive Agreement to Expand Its Footprint in Arizona -
  • “This acquisition represents a solid addition to our industry and presence in Arizona, a State that offers MPX one of the best-regulated, yet industry-supportive markets in the country,” said W. Scott Boyes, MPX’s Chairman, President and CEO. “The entities being acquired have recorded trailing 12-month revenues of US$15 million and EBITDA of approximately US$3.5 million and its results will be immediately accretive to MPX earnings. Furthermore, the acquired companies are well-managed and will allow both parties to share best practises and benefit from the ability to share purchase economies. With the pending opening of our Apache Junction dispensary, the addition of the Holistic Center, will bring the number of dispensaries managed by MPX in the greater Phoenix market to four, will more than double our cultivation capacity and will materially complement our management team in the State. Adding to our critical mass of operations, this acquisition will add to MPX’s ability to benefit from purchasing economies, spread the administrative overhead costs over a larger revenue base and provide cash flows to support additional growth.”
April 03, 2018 - Mpx Enjoys Record Monthly Revenue of Cdn$5.2 Million in Arizona
  • Beth Stavola, COO and President of MPX’s U.S. operations, adds “With our fourth dispensary opening soon in the Apache Junction suburb and our expanded concentrate production facilities coming on-stream this month, we expect to see our Arizona revenues continue to expand over the next several fiscal quarters. The Arizona program is well-regulated by AZDHS, the patient count continues to grow, the supply and cost of flower and trim for re-sale and concentrate production is excellent and, while the Phoenix area market is increasingly competitive, retail prices and margins remain attractive. This is a great state for MPX to conduct business in.”
April 09, 2018 - MPX Adds a Fourth Dispensary in Phoenix and Triples Capacity for MPX Concentrate Production in Arizona
TORONTO, April 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MPX Bioceutical Corporation (“MPX” or the “Company”) (CSE:MPX) (OTC:MPXEF) is pleased to announce that the official opening of the its newest “Health for Life” medical marijuana dispensary in the Metropolitan Phoenix area, located at the junction of E. Main and Crimson in the suburb of Apache Junction. This brings the number of dispensaries under MPX management in Arizona’s Sun Valley to four. The Crimson dispensary will meet the needs of patients in this comparatively underserviced southeast quadrant of the region by making available the full spectrum of MPX concentrates, an extensive variety of cannabis flower, and a broad selection of 3rd party, processed cannabis-infused edibles.
The Company also announces that it has relocated the processing and production of MPX concentrates to a new location in North Mesa. Phase one of the build-out at this facility, now in operation, will immediately double the current production capacity of MPX-branded products in Arizona to approximately 150,000 grams annually. The second phase scheduled for completion early in calendar Q3 will increase potential production to over 400,000 grams per year and the final phase expected in calendar Q4 will result in annualized capacity increasing to a total in excess of 800,000 grams annually with a wholesale value (at current prices) of approximately US$18 million.

The company is in the process of building a 50,000-square-foot facility on Innovation Way, next door to Amazon and Mass Biologics, the medical research and testing facility run by the University of Massachusetts.

(CGX), has completed the acquisition of a 51% interest in IMT, LLC and Fall River Developments, LLC (“FRD”), Massachusetts registered companies active in the cannabis space.
The marijuana industry has become a popular spot for Fall River.
According to MPX Bioceutical Corp, construction of a 40,000 square foot marijuana cultivation/processing facility on Innovation Way in Fall River, Massachusetts is targeted to be complete in the summer of this year with cultivation beginning in the third quarter of 2018. Cannatech Medicinals, who is owned by MPX Bioceutical Corp, has been working on the facility next to Amazon.
They have also commenced construction on the first of three dispensaries in Massachusetts, including one at 160 Hartwell Street in Fall River near the Applebee’s restaurant. The Hartwell Street location will get their supply from the Innovation Way facility.
CannaTech Medicinals; Hope, Heal, Health; and Northeast Alternatives will all be in the running for licenses to grow and sell marijuana for the recreational market. Recreational sales are scheduled to start July 1.
CannaTech Medicinals is building a 50,000-square-foot growing facility and processing laboratory in the biopark on Innovation Way. It is also building a dispensary off Hartwell Street.

*- No siting profile has been submitted for the third dispensary yet, invited to submit on December 12, 2017 (same date as Attleboro)
Massachusetts is the 15th most populous state
Boston is the 22nd most populated city in the U.S. and most populated in New England

From the press releases below, I gather:
  • 1 production facility in Gaithersburg/Montgomery Country (through Rosebud Organics/Budding Rose, Inc.) (January 8, 2018) - No square footage provided. However,
  • January 08, 2018 - The facility is completely built-out and when fully operational will be capable of producing 825,000 grams of MPX-branded cannabis concentrates per annum.
*- Possibly at: 4909 Fairmont Ave Bethesda, MD 20814

*- Under "Licensed Processors (as of April 10, 2018): Rosebud Organics LLC (Montgomery County)

I'm guessing that they will be selling MPX concentrates through these dispensaries as they have done in Arizona and Nevada once their production facility is operational. I'll wait for the press release and theMelting Point Extracts site to update before factoring that into their footprint.
  • MPX Bioceutical Corporation (the “Company” or “MPX”) (CSE:MPX) (OTC:MPXEF) today announced that the Company, through its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, S8 Management, LLC (“S8 Management”), is entering into a management agreement (the “Management Agreement”) with LMS Wellness, Benefit LLC (“LMS”) which will result in MPX building and managing a full service medical cannabis dispensary in the White Marsh suburb of Baltimore, Maryland.
Photo caption: A medical marijuana company has signed a lease for the space at 4909 Fairmont Ave., next to the mural.
A medical marijuana dispensary is coming to a long-dormant space on Fairmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda.
Rich Greenberg, of Greenhill Capital, which owns the building, said Budding Rose LLC signed the lease for the roughly 1,900-square-foot space about six months ago. He said work is ongoing to fit out the interior to meet the dispensary’s needs, and he wasn’t sure when the shop would be ready to open.
The management agreements with Budding Rose and Rosebud will result in MPX subsidiaries now operating three medical cannabis enterprises in the State of Maryland. The first management agreement with LMS Wellness, Benefit LLC was announced on December 12, 2017. Rosebud is one of only 14 licenses issued to process cannabis derivatives in the State of Maryland. The facility is completely built-out and when fully operational will be capable of producing 825,000 grams of MPX-branded cannabis concentrates per annum.
Budding Rose will operate a dispensary in a high-traffic area of downtown Bethesda, Maryland, in close proximity to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center and National Institutes of Health. Bethesda, Maryland is located within the Capital Beltway and is one of the wealthiest communities in the Capital Region. The dispensary is currently under construction and is expected to be operational in late February of this year.
GreenMart will operate a dispensary, under the “Health for Life” brand, in a high-traffic area of Baltimore, Maryland, situated off of North Point Road in the community of Colgate. The location is conveniently located near Interstate Routes 695, 95 and US Route 40 and a 15-minute drive from Baltimore’s Inner Harbour, Canton Waterfront, Federal Hill, and Fells Point. Within 2 miles of the location sits Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, a teaching hospital within the world renowned John Hopkins Health System. GreenMart has been welcomed and supported by the community leaders of Colgate. The dispensary is currently under construction and is expected to be operational in April 2018 of this year.
Maryland Medical Marijuana Patient Numbers:
*- 18,000+ (Current through 12/15/17)

Keep in mind they're in only four states right now and currently operating in two. There are other U.S operators with multi-state footprints (IAN, CRZ, LHS, MRMD, etc.).
A few private players:
*1) Acreage Holdings - 11 States,
*2) Columbia Care - 9 States + D.C and Puerto Rico,
*3) Green Thumb Industries (GTI) - 5 States,
*4) Cresco Labs - 4 States.
Also, there are the other companies with agreements/operations in both the U.S. and Canada (CRZ, SNN).
Once their RTO (April 30, 2018) is completed, MedMen will have the highest addressable market of the publicly traded U.S. operators (CA - 39.5 million, NY - 19.8 million, NV - 2.9 million, Canada - 35 million through their JV with Cronos). Not too mention the number of visitors each of those markets get annually.
That being said, of the current public companies, I think they give good multi-state exposure in the U.S. in markets with high population density]( This doesn't even factoring their Canadian exposure once they get operating. We'll see where they stand in the U.S. market if they're able to execute on the Massachusetts, Maryland, and Canadian operations. Also, remember they're pushing the MPX concentrates brand and are set to get exposure on both coasts.
I can't speak on their capital structure or financials. Some other users can discuss that.

Some thoughts about the Farmers' Market.

Some thoughts about the Market.
One. Jamie Kent is one of the nicest guys you could meet. And he should be ashamed of himself for lying to customers. Serves him right he got caught on national television. But he’s not at the winter Market, so if you’re pissed at him, please take it elsewhere for now.
Two. Y’all are gonna read some stuff about Cindy Hope today. I don’t know the details, but I assume it ain’t gonna be pretty. Here’s what I do know; for the past decade, Cindy has been a LOCAL GOAT DAIRY FARMER. She sends wonderful, healthy, local food to Market from Keene.
So if you’re going to think that airing her dirty laundry in the press is somehow supportive of local food, would y’all please give your head a shake? How is that not harassment?
Between you and me, Cindy has made some decisions I don’t agree with. But she is not solely responsible for issues at the Market, and harassing her is not going to do anything to curb the resellers lying to you. She also has NO power to affect the vote to evict. As a Board member she has to refrain from voting. This is a motion brought by other 16 vendors (not all of them are resellers, there’s more to this than that). It will be voted on by the membership. It’s nothing to do with the Board.
Three. Of the list of seven vendors who face eviction, 3 are not actually farmers. One of them even sells a product that’s mostly sugar - which is about as far from healthy and local as its possible to get. So why are they included when we talk about local food? Why are we asked to harass a local dairy farmer on their behalf, how is that logical?
Because what all 7 share is a lawyer, John Dunn. He seems determined that the Market be taken over by Farmer’s Markets of Ontario. A business with some quasi-governmental associations, the FMO runs most other Markets in Ontario. [As far as I can tell, they do a good job, but they’re based in Brighton, and I’m a fan of local, self-governance.] He and some other people have been working hard - not to fix the Market’s issues - but to convince you that the only way the Market can be fixed is for the lease to be withdrawn by the City and given to the FMO.
The PDFM has been self-governed since before Confederation. Why are we being asked to give up local governance in the name of local food? And why, oh why, should we trust a City Council that has decided to; sell the PUC, build a Casino, and try to build the Parkway, to get local food right? Give your heads another shake. At least the Market Board is actually farmers.
Go to the Market today, speak to Jill Staples at her Maple Syrup stand - she and her husband farm organic veggies too, but have other places to sell them, and only bring syrup to the PDFM, they don’t have it certified organic, becasue then they’d have to charge a bit more, but they’ll tell you about their produce, and you can trust them. Talk to Jan Laurie with her wonderful push-cart of sprouts - all grown at her place mere blocks from the Market - doesn’t get more local than that.
See what lovely, reasonable women they are. Realise that the Board is not some evil corporation bent on destroying local farmers. The Board IS local farmers. The FMO is not.
Four. The four actual farmers on that list of seven do NOT represent all the local growers at the Market. Go talk to them ALL, ask what they think, instead of trusting the press to tell you what's happening.
I don’t think the solution is to kick all 7 vendors out - especially not the farmers. But I’m dismayed that they’ve gotten away with reducing complex issues to “farmer-David vs reseller-Goliath”. There’s much more going on than that. Including some real harassment from a couple of those seven.
Five. Resellers are not necessarily a bad thing for a Market. This region has a pretty short growing season, and without resellers, the tables can look pretty empty some months. Having resellers helps drive traffic to other vendors also. If someone needs red peppers for soup, but it’s mid June, do we want her to buy at a Loblaw-oned store, and give the Weston family more money? Or would we rather she come to the Market to buy some from the Kents, and maybe pick up some local beef and cheese while she’s there? Just because the resellers bring the same sorts of food that you might buy at the grocery store, doesn’t mean that buying from them is the same as heading to a grocery franchise. The resellers do help support the Market.
The problem is if customers are lied to. And yes, that has been an issue at the Market. But imagine if those who want to support local food had sought to co-operate with the resellers to re-brand. If they had talked up the good things resellers can provide, and looked for ways to work together, instead of tearing the whole Market down in the interests of “exposing” them. How much more fun and exciting and constructive would that be?
The Beyers, who are to your left as you enter the main doors of the Market, are mostly resellers. But they’re not fat-cats up form Toronto pretending to be farmers. They’re a local farm family who grow turnips and squashes. They've been coming to the Market for decades, and they’ve turned to some reselling as they’ve aged out of full-scale farming. As a friend says; farming doesn't come with a pension.
You should know that in the 80s (when local food wasn’t trendy) they, and other families, paid out of pocket to put the heaters in the building. Tomorrow, when it’s literally colder than Mars outside, how about we all say thank you to them? It’s ok, you still don’t have to buy from them, I rarely do. But we can still be polite Canadians, eh?

Buffalo 2075

Some of you may remember me asking about world building for the 6th world.. well I created a history for Buffalo in 2075 starting from the 2000's.
IF YOU'RE PART OF ARTEMIS-UB, DO NOT READ THIS. Minor spoilers involved. You'll get a redacted version.
I'd appreciate any feedback from those who want to take the time to read it. If you just enjoy the read that's awesome too!
EDIT: I need to give lots of credit to The Shadowrun Supplemental #16, A Shadowtourist's Guide to Buffalo ( Lots of inspiration came from that.
===== Introduction =====
Buffalo became a full-fledged city in 1832. The city began as a boomtown on the Erie Canal and it soon became a major hub for sea traffic and shipping by rail. The hard economic times of the 20th century soon slowed Buffalo's growth to a trickle, but with the new millennium came new growth and new opportunities for the Queen City. Greater Buffalo and Niagara Falls make up a large portion of the Toronto-BuffaloSyracuse Metropolitan Corridor (TBSM).
The city of Buffalo alone boasts over a million in population, with most of the expected facilities. Institutions of higher learning include the UCAS University at Buffalo and Buffalo State College. Numerous state, city and county parks and easy access to beaches on Lake Erie and Ontario provide yearround opportunities for sports and recreation.
Western New York fans enjoy seeing Sabres games during the season. Buffalo is also home to the Buffalo Bisons (AAA baseball), Buffalo Stampede (Combat Biking), and Buffalo Destroyers (Urban Brawl). Skiers and snowmobilers have up to a dozen excellent resorts for winter fun between 10 and 60 miles of the Greater Buffalo area.

Ontario & BC Speak Out About Cannabis Legalization - satire

Queen’s Park, Ontario/Victoria, British Columbia
Reg Hearsay/Canadian Press
A nationwide uproar has emerged over the monopolies provinces are creating around the impending legalization of cannabis.
Bill C-45, drafted by the federal Liberal government, will permit citizens to buy, possess, and grow their own marijuana. Passage is expected in late summer of 2018.
Many are accusing governments across the nation of rushing to cash in on a revenue opportunity few expect will be seen again in their lifetimes.
The Premiere of Ontario - Ms. Kathleen Wynne - hastily called a news conference to decry to the suggestion that the Ontario government was using the legalization of cannabis as a ‘major tax grab’.
What she described as ‘blatant partisanship’, she dismissed concerns about monopolizing cannabis distribution by the province.
“This is not simply about keeping children safe. Because we always keep children safe. Honest. This is about cannabis being treated the same as alcohol and gambling. Making profits from people choosing to pursue individual activities is in the interest of public policy. And the most profitable of those activities are in our interests. So, we will keep those revenues, and keep ensuring your children are safe.”
She bristled at the suggestion that cannabis - and by extension, that ‘sin’ taxes on alcohol and gambling - are viewed as a cash cow by governments.
“If it wasn’t for us delivering the services that Ontarian’s demand, we’d have to raise taxes, or let the people do it themselves. How in the world do you expect us to balance a budget without those revenues?”
“Why would you want your grandmother doing her own dialysis? Why do you suggest that?” Premiere Wynne added before leaving the podium, holding up a triacta ticket she’d purchased on the way to the news conference.
On the West coast, British Columbia's Premier John Horgan faced his own line of questioning in the lobby of the Legislative Assembly in Victoria. When asked about the low payout rates of the BCLCB (Liquor and Gaming Commission) on games of chance and how cannabis sales are expected to follow the same trajectory, Horgan said “It’s in the interests of all British Columbians to come together and support the government, whether through voluntary or involuntary means.”
“Our monopolies create jobs in Victoria and allow us to pay licensing fees to foreign corporations that would otherwise be paid by businesses. There’s no need for that. We do it all. And you’re welcome.”
A reporter who stated that if the current payout ratios from Keno and the province wide poker game - available in convenience stores and gas stations across the province - were offered in Nevada, a casino license holder would be subject to racketeering laws and felony charges of gangsterism - was blackjacked and forcibly removed by security.
Our fact checkers have verified these claims .
This reporter attempted to query the Alberta government on their reliance on liquor and gaming revenues - but was unsuccessful in obtaining a response by press time.
Alberta’s notorious ‘VLT’s’ (video lottery terminals) have an average payout of 92%, 4 percentage points lower than Nevada’s minimum for acquiring a casino license on slot machines.
Premier Rachel Notley’s office did not reply to questions from reporters, but she was spotted drinking a tequila Cesear in Nixx Pub on Edmonton Trail in Calgary. Ms. Notley had spent spent several hours playing ’Magic Sparkle Moonbeams’ on a VLT machine for $0.20 a spin, selecting 4 lines. Ms. Notley constantly encouraged the lady next to her to ‘go for broke’ and ‘hit it big’ by betting the maximum $5 per spin - or $0.25 on all 20 lines available.
The VLT's have an average of 3 seconds per spin, and betting the maximum, one can gamble more than $6,000 per hour on these machines. That's the equivalent of betting $75 per hand on a blackjack table, with loss ratios almost twice that of the popular card game.
A representative of the bar refused to divulge any further information about Ms. Notley's visit other than to say ‘We’re out of pickled beans and celery"....paused, and then added: "We're out of tequila now too. But we have plenty of Worcestershire sauce left."
John Horgan walked away from the podium after the physical altercation with the journalist by encouraging attendees to visit the Parliamentary Gift Shop on the way out, which provides the only exit possible from the Assembly. Access to the back door is restricted to MLA's and their officials and delegates only.
Other premiers have not responded to our emails as of time of writing. The Irving family was asked about their plans and their instructions to the Premiers of Atlantic Canada, but simply issued a terse statement through a spokesperson that they had 'No comment on the size of the pie slices yet'. The spokesperson added: "We'll tell our people when they need to know".

Midnight, The Luckiest Man Alive

Note 1: Midnight a name for getting double sixes in the game of Craps. Boxcars is also a name for this.
Note 2: I know that I didn't include any cosmetic/unlockable items, but that has always been my least favorite part and I am very tired at the time I am posting this. I will most likely edit this post later to add in cosmetics.

Name: Midnight

Real Name: Roland Piper

Height: 6'1''

Age: 35

Nationality: Canadian

Occupation: Gambler, Head of The Gambler's Guild

Base of Operations: Unknown (From Thunder Bay, Ontario)

Role: Support

Total Health: 200

Movement Speed: 5.5 MPS

Ammo capacity: 15

1st Spawn Quote: Life's a gamble…it's time I raised the stakes.

Difficulty: ✮✮

A whisper in the wind. A wild rumor. A dark speculation. To most, the man known as Midnight never escapes a world of pure speculation. Anyone that receives one of his invitations, however, knows he is all too real. The words on the page as confusing as they are menacing.
"You have been selected to participate in the ultimate game of chance.
Act quickly…
No one quite knows what this "game of chance" is. What is known is that these invitations have been found at the scenes of multiple murders, along with notes that say things such as "You didn't follow the rule," or "You were a worthy opponent…in your time." These notes were signed with the same moniker. Even more unsettling is the fact that police have not been able use this evidence to gain any leads. Who is Midnight? What is this twisted game he's playing? Can he be stopped before he brings more destruction?

Passive: Luck Seven

Midnight's exorbitant luck further increases after he gets an elimination. After eliminating an enemy, the next time he rolls his dice one of them is guaranteed to be a six (thus making the minimum result seven).
  • Activates after eliminating an enemy
  • Guaranteed to have at least one six in the next dice roll
  • Effect does not stack
  • “Are ya having fun yet?” (Luck Seven activates)
  • “This is thrilling, hahaha.” (Luck Seven activates)
  • “I'm just getting started!” (Luck Seven activates)

Main Attack (Right Trigger): The House

Midnight's gun releases a variety of coins, chips, and cards. While this gun is not strictly a blaster, it does behave as one.
  • Six rounds per second
  • 2.5 seconds per clip
  • 18 damage per round
  • 108 DPS, 216 with headshot
  • 1.5 second reload
  • Linear Projectile
  • Projectile moves at 40 meters per second

1st Ability (Left Bumper): Gambler's Fortune

Midnight rolls two dice and gives a buff to one of his allies based upon the result. Text will appear on both Midnight's screen and that of the chosen ally telling both what buff occurred. The displayed text is listed after the effect.
  • Two: No Effect (No Effect…)
  • Three-Five: Speed raised by 20% (Speed Up)
  • Six-Eight: Damage dealt +20% (Damage Dealt Up)
  • Nine-Eleven: Damage taken -20% (Damage Taken Down)
  • Twelve: All other effects occur at half effectiveness (10%) (Fever!)
  • All effects last five seconds
  • Has no cooldown, but cannot be used while it is already in use
  • Can be used on himself if he is not targeting an ally
  • Cannot be used on the same ally twice in a row
  • “Rollin', rollin', rollin'.” (Using Gambler's Fortune)
  • “They see me rollin'…” (Using Gambler's Fortune)
  • "Now, what do we get?" Using Gambler's Fortune)
  • “Fichu…” (Damn…) (Rolling Two)
  • "Looks like snake eyes…" (Rolling Two)
  • "Boxcars, baby!" (Rolling Twelve)
  • “Eh bien, pourriez-vous regarder à qui." (Well, would you look at that.) (Rolling Twelve)

2nd Ability (Right Bumper): Gambler's Sanctuary

Midnight momentarily creates a shield around him that protects himself and any allies from damage for two seconds. Midnight will also roll his dice and give a momentary boon. Unlike Gambler's Fortune, text will not appear to display the boon, it simply occurs.
  • Makes Midnight and any allies around him invincible
  • Lasts two seconds
  • Midnight is stationary during the active time
  • Any ally that leaves the AOE no longer has the effect
  • Allies can still be knocked back
  • 17 second cool down
  • Two: No additional effect
  • Three-Five: Gives all allies 25 shields
  • Six-Eight: Heals allies for 50 damage
  • Nine-Eleven: Gives all allies 25 armor
  • Twelve: Active time doubled and Midnight can move while the ability is active
  • "Roll again!” (Activating Gambler's Sanctuary)
  • “Nope, hahaha.” (Activating Gambler's Sanctuary)
  • "Ceci est exaltante! (This is exciting!) (Activating Gambler's Sanctuary) exhilarating
  • Trop mauvais. (Too bad.) (Blocking damage)
  • “Oh, that would've hurt.” (Blocking damage)
  • "Anything else?" (Blocking damage)

Ult. Ability (Y/Triangle Button): Jackpot

Midnight gives his team an enhanced version of Gambler's Fortune, regardless of their position on the map. For these rolls, Midnight uses specialized dice, with extra sixes where the ones should be.
  • All teammates (including Midnight) receive a buff from Gambler's Fortune
  • Any buff received is one and a half times as effective (30% instead of 20%)
  • If a Twelve is received, all buffs are given, as usual, but the effectiveness is not lowered as much (20% instead of 10%)
  • Ones do not appear and sixes take their place
  • This ability is compatible with Lucky Seven, but only on Midnight's roll
  • Midnight and his allies are only shown the results of their own separate rolls
  • All rolls occur simultaneously and apply buffs after a one second cast time
  • Lasts 5 seconds
  • “Ce jeu est terminé!” (Hostile/Self)
  • “This game is over!” (Friendly)

Excellent buffing moves, Good at supporting the frontline, Can protect himself despite being a support
Strong against;
  • Tracer
  • Sombra
  • Bastion
  • Torbjörn
  • Orisa
  • Zarya
  • Mercy
  • Zenyatta

Inconsistent, Gambler's Fortune can only buff one person at a time, Long cooldown for Gambler's Sanctuary
Weak Against;
  • McCree
  • Solider: 76
  • Hanzo
  • Widowmaker
  • Reinhardt
  • Winston
  • Ana
  • Lúcio

Midnight is a utility support hero. Instead of healing his team, he is meant to reinforce frontline heroes and secure their position. At first his semi-random nature can make him unreliable, but once you look at his moveset as a whole, you start to see that this random nature isn't as random as it seems. Midnight's passive, while at first seeming to be a throw away ability, is actually very important. It makes sure that Midnight's next dice roll has at least one six. This is a great boon as it both assures he won't roll snake eyes, and increases the chances of getting twelve. For this reason, you will usually want to get an elimination before activating your abilities, if you can help it. This is done with Midnight's gun, The House, which is similar in design to Mercy or baby D.Va's weapon. It fires rounds at a high rate with low damage. While each shot is unimpressive on its own, the damage builds quickly, especially with headshots. Midnight's first activated ability is Gambler's Fortune. Basically, it gives Midnight or one of his allies a 20% boon in some area, depending on Midnight's dice roll. This is the main ability you will be using. You should be aware of when an ally is no longer receiving beneficial effects and should always be buffing an ally, if possible. Midnight's second ability is Gambler's Sanctuary. It protects his allies for two seconds (four if you roll a twelve) and applies a small health buff. Use this ability sparingly as it has an extremely long cooldown and low active time. It can be used to protect you from powerful offensive ultimates, such as Tracer's Pulse Bomb, most of Pharah's Rocket Barrage, and D.Va's Self Destruct. Last is Midnight's ultimate, Jackpot. It empowers Midnight entire team, including himself. This is a great ability to force an objective or wipe an enemy team. With Lucky Seven active, there is also a very high chance he will roll a twelve for himself. Midnight works best with frontline characters, such as Soldier: 76, McCree, and Reinhardt, as well as powerful single target healers, being Ana and Mercy.

Midnight is a character for those who wish to support their team, but also get eliminations when they need to. His gun is powerful enough to win him some fights, but you must be mindful of your limitations. Midnight has no escape abilities, so he is better suited to long distance engagements. That way he can more easily support front liners, without having to worry about getting killed. Midnight's luck elements makes him seem a bit ineffective at first, but like any good gambler, you only need to roll the dice to see his true potential.

Despite being in his thirties, Midnight has certainly aged well. His skin is lightly tanned, with light green eyes and black hair. He is dressed semi-formally, due to his status as a gambler. He has a simple white button-down, over which he wears a custom made dark grey vest, with silver clover shaped buttons and a large white print of one on the back. The vest had a slight speckled effect and he wears it open. He wears pants thatare a light blue with silver accents and heavy boots that match his hair. Last is his bow tie, a cherry red to represent the red in decks of cards.

To most, Midnight appears at the typical "nice Canadian," who apologizes for everything and is very suave and gentlemanly. However, this is all an act. Midnight knows about the stereotype against Canadians and is using it to make himself appear innocent. In actuality, Midnight is a conniving mastermind, with the horror of his words matching the lightheartedness with which he say them. The only people who see this side of him are those in The Gambler's Guild and sometimes those playing the game. Midnight understands the rules of society and how to manipulate them to his advantage, always preforming actions that are right on the border between legal and illegal. He can usually avoid the consequences of any illegal action he takes, which makes him a overconfident and complacent. He seems to get some kind of sick thrill out of battle, morbidly and genuinely laughing in multiple circumstances.

Roland Piper was born into a middle class family in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He had a relatively stable life, with his father having a job at a large corporation. However, due to an economic recession, his father lost his job. Then everything changed. His father completely morphed, almost overnight. He became an alcoholic who beat both Roland and his wife. Said wife had to work three jobs along with Roland's two to support their family. On his 18th birthday, Roland's father kicked him out of their house. Armed with only a few personal possessions and a small amount of money, Roland vowed to one day return, and to save his mother.
Roland went to the harbor to see if he could catch a boat. He didn't really care where it was going, since he knew anywhere would be better. He decided on a boat which was sailing through Lake Superior to Minnesota the next day, which was also the first he saw. However, he did not have enough money to pay for the ride. Roland begged with the man to allow him to board, but he had heard all the stories before. Roland asked if there was any way he could earn more money, to which the boatman joked that he could win the Poker match happening that night in the local bar. Not realizing he was kidding, Roland went to the bar that night. Despite having little experience, only knowing the rules from his father, and having only a small amount of money, Roland somehow won. He didn't really know how, but he also didn't care. The next day, he sailed to Minnesota.
Once in a Minnesota, Roland had to figure out his next move. It was then that he recalled the poker game and began to contemplate how he won with his limited knowledge. He decided that he would test his luck again to try to increase his money and test his luck. To do this, Roland learned the rules of the game Craps and went to a local casino to play the game. Roland was highly successful, getting massive monetary gains. Soon after, the casino's staff became suspicious of Roland's activities and might have removed him from the property and possibly arrested him. However, Roland was able to escape the casino without any issue. This confirmed to Roland that he was extremely lucky and could do almost anything with his luck.
Through the years, Roland went to many casinos, winning and amassing cash. He was said to he a master at every game he played, but was primarily known for playing Craps. It was this coupled with his evasion of authorities and his mysterious guise that lead him to take up the name Midnight. Eventually, Midnight became bored with the casino setting. The thrill of betting his money began to lose its luster. He decided he wanted an even riskier bet. He wanted to bet his own life. However, he also knew that it would be boring if he did it alone. So, he used his vast wealth to send invitations to notable gamblers around the world, calling upon them to join his ultimate game of chance. He also hired people to keep tabs on them, and to dispose of any who didn't follow his game. The rules were simple; treat each day as if it was your last and "bet your life."
Among those invited were Cardshark ( created by Suburbian999), Poker ( created by AoDesu), and Ace ( created by sgy0003). Midnight considers them some of the best players.

Bank of America — Bank of America earned 41 cents per share for its latest quarter, beating estimates by seven cents, with revenue also beating forecasts. Strong trading results helped make up for weakness in some of the bank's consumer businesses.

Hasbro — The toymaker reported quarterly profit of $2.03 per share, easily beating estimates of $1.74, with revenue also topping analyst estimates. Hasbro did especially well in its partnered offerings, such as the Disney Princess and "Frozen" product lines.

Supervalu — The supermarket operator is selling its Save-A-Lot business to an affiliate of Canadian private equity firm Onex Corporation for nearly $1.37 billion.

Tesla — German officials are asking the automaker to stop including the Autopilot function in its ads. The country's transport minister is concerned that drivers might feel their attention is not needed while behind the wheel of the vehicle. Separately, a product announcement scheduled for today has been pushed back to Wednesday, with CEO Elon Musk tweeting that the unnamed new product needed a few more days of refinement.

Deutsche Bank — Deutsche Bank is considering changes to its U.S. strategy, according to Reuters. The bank is not likely to abandon the U.S. market, but it may considering scaling down its activities here. Deutsche Bank is currently fighting a proposed $14 billion Justice Department fine over financial crisis era mortgage bond sales.

McDonald's — The restaurant chain is losing a number of senior executives, including chief field officer Karen King and senior vice president Erik Hess. That comes on the heels of other departures, including soon-to-retire McDonald's USA President Mike Andres, chief administrative officer Pete Bensen, and high-growth markets division chief David Hoffmann.

Mentor Graphics — Mentor has hired Bank of America to explore strategic alternatives including a potential sale, according to Reuters. Activist hedge fund Elliott Management has an 8.1 percent stake in the software maker and feels Mentor's shares are significantly undervalued.

Constellation Brands — The spirits maker is near a deal to sell its Canadian wine business to the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan for about $760 million, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Walgreens Boots Alliance — Walgreens has been upgraded to "buy" from "hold" at Jefferies, which has also increased its price target for the drug store operator's stock to $95 per share from $87. Jefferies feels investors are underestimating both the fundamental positives as well as the incremental benefits that will be provided by its acquisition of Rite-Aid.

Wells Fargo — Wells Fargo was downgraded to "market perform" from "outperform" at Keefe Bruyette & Woods, which cut its price target to $48 from $57. Keefe Bruyette does not feel the price is low enough to reflect the uncertainty surrounding the change in the bank's sales practices.

Dunkin' Brands — RBC downgraded Dunkin' to "sector perform" from "outperform," saying the stock's price already reflects the donut chain's acceleration in sales, the introduction of new beverages, and the launch of its "On-The-Go" mobile ordering platform.

Groupon — Wedbush upgraded Groupon to "outperform" from "neutral," as the site sees increased customer traffic and expands its deal inventory.

Whirlpool — MKM downgraded the appliance maker to "neutral" from "buy," based primarily on a rise in steel prices.
